GOD’S MISSION AND OUR CO-MISSION

Our purpose is to love God and to make Him known. Over the years, Jesus continuously renewed our hearts with a desire for more of this. We owe it to His grace and the legacy of those who went before us. Our great granddad Gustav Haese left Europe in 1858 to answer God’s call as missionary to South Africa. He left behind an offspring of people with missions at the core of their lives of whom we are privileged to be part of.
Our story in missions began in 1979 when we met during a LOVE EUROPE outreach with OM (Operation Mobilization). We took Jesus’ commission to all believers to heart and with joy, walked the streets of Gent in Belgium and shared the love of Christ to everyone willing to open up their lives to us.

“Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb He has spoken my name. He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver. He said to me, “You are my servant, in whom I will display My splendour.”

Fifteen years later; married and with Monét and Nico off the hip, our call for missions took us to a village in the western part of Botswana where we lived among Herero and San people. During this time of cross-cultural ministry, obedience, sacrifice and faith got a completely new meaning for us as we ministered to this small fellowship of believers.
Back in South Africa, a season of ministry followed in which I’ve been involved in Mission Mobilization, Strategic Partnership development and Congregational Ministry. Through this experience, God shaped and established my ministry gifting in developing and facilitating processes for spiritual growth, especially among business people, men and married couples. I’ve been blessed with numerous opportunities to lead people towards full participation in God’s purposes for them in His Kingdom.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

MATTHEW 28:19-20

While visiting churches in England and Germany in 2015, it became clear, that God wants to stretched our vision for ministry, to include Europe. We started to intentionally seek His council about this revelation. Prayed over by many and confirmed through prophetic word and scripture the idea started to grow into a compelling vision. Isaiah’s call to islands and distant nations slowly became a reality. We realised we need to explore possibilities and since God already gave us an affinity for the British Islands, we went on a trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. The visit served by strengthening our vision and we came back with an even deeper desire to serve the Church in Europe.

It left us with the question of where will the Lord open up the door for us and how do we accomplish this vision?

Every Nation in our generation

The first answer came through an invitation from ministry friends in Every Nation Church. This worldwide family of churches has a passion to see lives, communities and nations transformed through the Gospel
being presented, disciples being made, leaders being raised and churches being planted. An extensive vision is in place to plant a church in every nation of Europe by 2040. University cities are specifically targeted to influence the next generation of leaders, with the love of Christ.

MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP

In preparing ourselves for possibilities to open up in Europe, I’ve enrolled with Every Nation’s Ministry School in their Leadership and Church Planting track. We are engaged at Willows Every Nation where we serve local congregation, enjoy fellowship and embrace the values of Every Nation in a practical way.

In Every Nation’s we devote ourselves to one thing – making disciples. As we do that, God promises to build His church. This is the most credible partnership relationships that will transform the nations – God and His children working together. It is done by inviting people like you to join us in ministry partnership.

Ministry partnership enables Every Nation to plant new churches, to reach new people, and to disciple nations. It happens when vision and faith are shared in relationship between those who are sent and those who send – both equal partners in establishing God’s Kingdom.

“But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?”

Prayer

Pray with us for an awakening of the church in Europe and for the planting of new churches in every European nation; focusing on reaching next generation leaders among the 20 million University students. Join us in prayer for a divine reconciliation to take place and for a united church to establish the Lordship of Jesus Christ among the Irish people. As Every Nation we fast and pray every 1st Thursday of the month for the establishing of God’s Kingdom among the nations of the world.
